Today I opened up all of the survey results in a spreadsheet and went through and analyzed the results. It took me quite a while as I had over 170 responses and therefore needed to make sure the results that I talked about were representative of all of the results. I used the premade Google Forms graphs for the quantitative answers and listed the main points from the qualitative questions. Now I need to analyze three clips from Edgar Wright movies to talk about in my video essay.
Inform our own idea...
The people who watch all of these shows I have looked at are all different age groups. Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway is one of the shows with the broadest range of people watching, the reason this show is like this because of Ant & Dec and also the show has a big range of content.
The findings suggest that if we go with the Saturday evening, ITV, 7 pm as this is one of the most popular times for viewing TV as a family. At this time people will put the TV on and just watch whatever show is on. For the group, this shows us that we need to make sure that our show doesn't collide with a popular show as everyone would just watch the show. If we did have to show our show at the same time as a popular show we would have to make sure we were appealing to a different target audience.
Based on our idea we now need to research our target audience to find out what they would want from a show, we need to think of ways we can make our show different from others. We need to research what the shows we want to borrow ideas from do and how they are really successful.

Today we went out and filmed the first few scenes of our production. The first issue we encountered was Samira who was playing Mrs Palmer did not turn up wearing business atire, which meant it would be difficult for the viewers to see her as a business woman. Filming was generally smooth. We shot several scenes a couple of times so we have multiple angles. It did start raining heavily

during production which meant we had to pause filming for a little bit. The car decorating went all fine. An issue with some of the props is that they are too big to use in the car as it would be unsafe. After this we collated the footage and began renaming the scenes.

Today we went out and filmed the next few scenes for our production. Today was our main block of filming for the production. We started by filming in Starbucks which took a long time to get to but this didn't matter as we had given plenty of time for each section. After I purchased the Starbucks drink we went to an empty area of the carpark which meant that we wouldn't have anyone getting annoyed at us for filming their car. After we shot this scene we went to Tea Green and recorded the breakdown scene which we made sure we filmed as quickly as possible as we were parked at the side of a very narrow road. After this, we filmed the scene of the car rolling down the hill which took quite a lot of attempts to film as we wanted to make sure we got it right. Then we came back to college and recorded the office scene which involved us going to security to allow us to drive along on the back road.

Today we went and filmed the final parts of our production. Firstly, we helped another group in the class film a couple of their scenes. After this, we filmed the Christmas quiz in the car. Then we recorded the scene where we drive and the unmarked police car stops us. We recorded this a couple of times to ensure that we had multiple angles. This stunt was carried out smoothly and no problems occurred. We then decided we wanted the undercover cop to actually arrest Mrs. Palmer, which wasn't planned but we added as we felt it would add more depth to the story. We then helped film a scene for another group. We packed away the equipment and then started sorting out all of the footage.
