Today I opened up all of the survey results in a spreadsheet and went through and analyzed the results. It took me quite a while as I had over 170 responses and therefore needed to make sure the results that I talked about were representative of all of the results. I used the premade Google Forms graphs for the quantitative answers and listed the main points from the qualitative questions. Now I need to analyze three clips from Edgar Wright movies to talk about in my video essay.
Inform our own idea...
The people who watch all of these shows I have looked at are all different age groups. Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway is one of the shows with the broadest range of people watching, the reason this show is like this because of Ant & Dec and also the show has a big range of content.
The findings suggest that if we go with the Saturday evening, ITV, 7 pm as this is one of the most popular times for viewing TV as a family. At this time people will put the TV on and just watch whatever show is on. For the group, this shows us that we need to make sure that our show doesn't collide with a popular show as everyone would just watch the show. If we did have to show our show at the same time as a popular show we would have to make sure we were appealing to a different target audience.
Based on our idea we now need to research our target audience to find out what they would want from a show, we need to think of ways we can make our show different from others. We need to research what the shows we want to borrow ideas from do and how they are really successful.

Today, I finished editing my video essay then exported it and uploaded it you YouTube, I then added a thumbnail of Edgar Wright. After that we got back into our group and mind mapped our idea. We started our idea by thinking about an Uber Driver who picks up someone and is full of terrible jokes and the idea transformed into an Uber Driver who thoroughly loves Christmas, he has to pick up and drop off Mrs. Palmer - who is a businesswoman. She is secretly committing fraud which leads to the Uber driver getting into trouble and Mrs. Palmer doing community service and becoming an Uber Driver herself.

Today, me and my group finished writing the script. We then went back through to check the spelling mistakes. We went through with a tutor and explained our idea and got advice on how to improve the project. We just need to ensure that the script isn't just focusing on comedy; we want it to be funny but it needs to be action aswell. We then split the pre-production paperwork and decided what we are going to do. I then started working on the risk-assessment which I will finish tomorrow.

Today, I had my Live TV review. After that I continued to work on the risk assessment. i was working on the one for Starbucks which took quite a while as there is a lot of risks involved within our production. For the next risk assesments it wont take as long as I will be able to use snippets from the others. Finally, I went out and did a location recce which involved going to Starbucks to take pictures of how we may use it. I also went around looking at houses we could film outside of and use as Mrs Palmers house. I also went to try and find a location for where the car will break down, however, the road was shut so I will do it again on Thursday.

Today, I went out with the DOP and we went and did test shots for the production. We went to one oft eh housing estates that we will use for the signing scenes and this is very quiet. We practiced several shots including the car rolling up, shots of the car being put into gear, the scene where Mrs. Palmer will sit in the back. After this, I finished my location recce, the risk assessment for Starbucks and the Car. Next, I need to finish my call sheets for each day of filming.
