Today I went into Premiere Pro and imported the audio track, I then went through and got rid of the parts where I stumbled. After this, my tutor went through the submission checklist with me and I had a couple things which I needed to add so spent the remainder of the lesson adding those things. Tomorrow I need to add the photos on top of the audio and I will then have my rough edit which will be ready to be exported.

This morning I overlayed my clips on top of the audio in my timeline and I have exported this. Although, I had plenty of images and video I still had to download some more. I sourced the clips from a stock video website which is royalty free which means I can use the clips without getting into trouble. I then got one of the pictures that was taken for Chloe's project and edited it as I thought it really would work well for the thumbnail for the gender pay gap video. I think the black and white contrast looks good and is very effective.

Today we did our peer feedback for our rough edit. The first question I asked was "do you think there should be background music"; one peer said no and one yes as it would add more to the video. I think I will as it will create more flow. Secondly, I asked, "Do you think the pictures work well?" one person said the pictures fit well and the other said maybe add some stock footage. I will now have a look online and see what stock footage is available to add to make the production stand out. I then asked what they thought about the screen capture segment at 40 seconds. One person said they definitely like it and it flows well and the other said its good as the information is being given straight away. I could have a look to see if there are any other places where I can include screen record as it seems to be informative. Next, I asked about the sound quality and both said the quality was good and clean but maybe I could try and reduce echo. Then, I asked do they like the fast zooms in and out on pieces of information, both said they liked this as it kept the video interesting. When I asked what I could add to this one person said I could try and find clips of famous people talking about the gender pay gap and the other said to add an interview. At this time in the process it would be difficult to get an interview for the video essay, however, I will have a look online for a clip which I can include. Then, I asked what they thought I could either remove or change, both said nothing. Finally, I asked them if they thought I should put words on the screen. One said there is enough from the articles and one said maybe to highlight some of the points from the quotes. I think I will add text for the rhetorical questions as this will make them stand out more. Tomorrow I will make as many changes as possible to complete my video essay.

Today I went through my video essay and tried to add the things mentioned in red above. I added some piano background music which complements the video well I think. I then added some text to highlight one of the rhetorical questions at the start. I also added an audio effect which I think has cleaned the audio up a little bitt. I then proofed the video and exported it.

Today I began to do my presentation where I will present my final product. I have completed the first few slides in which I explain my idea, research methods, planning and tonight I will complete the room for the improvement stage. I will split my video essay in too short clips which I can show to the class, I will talk about how I made the product. Tomorrow morning I will add the finishing touches to the slides before adding them on to the computer.
