Today I opened up all of the survey results in a spreadsheet and went through and analyzed the results. It took me quite a while as I had over 170 responses and therefore needed to make sure the results that I talked about were representative of all of the results. I used the premade Google Forms graphs for the quantitative answers and listed the main points from the qualitative questions. Now I need to analyze three clips from Edgar Wright movies to talk about in my video essay.
Inform our own idea...
The people who watch all of these shows I have looked at are all different age groups. Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway is one of the shows with the broadest range of people watching, the reason this show is like this because of Ant & Dec and also the show has a big range of content.
The findings suggest that if we go with the Saturday evening, ITV, 7 pm as this is one of the most popular times for viewing TV as a family. At this time people will put the TV on and just watch whatever show is on. For the group, this shows us that we need to make sure that our show doesn't collide with a popular show as everyone would just watch the show. If we did have to show our show at the same time as a popular show we would have to make sure we were appealing to a different target audience.
Based on our idea we now need to research our target audience to find out what they would want from a show, we need to think of ways we can make our show different from others. We need to research what the shows we want to borrow ideas from do and how they are really successful. ​

Today, we went out as a group and filmed at a local pub for our date scene. I think because we had planned what we were going to film and had a good idea about it, it meant it went very smoothly. While we were filming we were checking to make sure we had filmed everything, so after looking back at the footage the only thing I think I am not happy with is that some of the clips are a bit yellow, this is due to the color of the lights in the room. We can change this in editing though. I was very happy as the group co-operated very well and everyone worked together in a way which made filming run smoothly. An issue which did occur today was with the pub we were filming at because a staff member hadn't informed another that we were coming to film, but it was all fine in the end and they were happy to sign the paperwork which said we could film.

Today, filmed all of the house scenes at my house. We had added things like photo frames to make each scene more realistic. We also filmed a scene today in one of the bathrooms which will be used to make it look like the pub bathroom. We then filmed the two "awkward" scenes outside the local shots. Group co-operated well and we got what we were hoping for. We have noticed we missed a shot at my house which we will re-film tomorrow after the office scene. We made sure we filmed several shots of each scene which will allow editing between takes to run a lot more smoothly.

Today, we filmed a pickup scene which we had forgotten to film the day before at my house. The filming for this went really well as we had been filming there the day before so we all knew what we needed to do. After this went to college and then filmed in our tutor's office a scene of Calamity on the phone. We also filmed an awkward encounter scene of Calamity and another staff member. All filming went well today and we have double checked to make sure we have all of the shots filmed and checked all footage to ensure what we filmed today was good. We are now ready to label all footage and get it ready to be edited.
