We decided to film our video on Saturday 7th October because our actors go to college during the filming week. As my group consisted of Chloe and I a few of our college friends came and helped us. When we arrived at the set it was raining but the actors were happy to continue to film and we covered the camera with an umbrella to stop it from getting too wet.​

 

Once all the actors arrived on set they signed the forms and got working to try to help our ideas come to life. Once we were comfortable with the actors we became more direct with them which allowed our ideas to come through more clearly. The actors also gave ideas as we went along which allowed our ideas to be developed further.

 

I think I was good at organising the group and getting the actors in the right places at the right time, the actors also listened to me which was good as it meant we could quickly move between scenes. I think I was also good at making sure the camera shots were going to be good for use in the project. To improve I could make sure I was more organised so the actors didn't have to wait around for us to decide how we were going to film the next scene.

 

The crew consisted of Chloe (Director), me (Producer) and Callum and Cameron who helped around where they could which was very helpful. When we were shooting everyone just helped where they could which mean filming went smoothly. As the crew were friends it meant we could easily work well together.

 

I learnt that when going out to shoot a video it can be difficult to fully follow the paperwork which has been previously made. I think this is sort of good though as it allows the crew to add in ideas they have only recently come up with.

 

When filming the video we forgot to film cut-away scenes. These would be played between shots in the final film. As we didn't film any of these we did this on the following Monday. Another issue could have been the weather which was really bad at first but quickly cleared and allowed for a smooth filming day.
