Today I opened up all of the survey results in a spreadsheet and went through and analyzed the results. It took me quite a while as I had over 170 responses and therefore needed to make sure the results that I talked about were representative of all of the results. I used the premade Google Forms graphs for the quantitative answers and listed the main points from the qualitative questions. Now I need to analyze three clips from Edgar Wright movies to talk about in my video essay.
Inform our own idea...
The people who watch all of these shows I have looked at are all different age groups. Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway is one of the shows with the broadest range of people watching, the reason this show is like this because of Ant & Dec and also the show has a big range of content.
The findings suggest that if we go with the Saturday evening, ITV, 7 pm as this is one of the most popular times for viewing TV as a family. At this time people will put the TV on and just watch whatever show is on. For the group, this shows us that we need to make sure that our show doesn't collide with a popular show as everyone would just watch the show. If we did have to show our show at the same time as a popular show we would have to make sure we were appealing to a different target audience.
Based on our idea we now need to research our target audience to find out what they would want from a show, we need to think of ways we can make our show different from others. We need to research what the shows we want to borrow ideas from do and how they are really successful.

Today we went out and took the first few shots for our video. We filmed the scene by the house with Christmas lights and also the other scenes with the actors who will be carol singers. After this, we went to Konstantin's house and recorded the voiceover with his microphone. I think as a group we worked well together as Cameron, Konstantin and I gave good suggestions which helped together to get the final shots. Alin worked well with trying to make thee ideas come to life through the shots. Looking back at today's footage there is only one shot which we may have to re-film tomorrow. Today went very smooth because we spent a lot of time doing things like location recce's which meant we could turn up to locations and start recording straight away.

This morning we went out and recorded a shot which we filmed the previous day but didn't work out right because we could see Santa's t-shirt. We went back to the same location and re-shot. After this, we went back to college and recorded the green screen shots which we had practised which last week which made it a lot easier because we knew where to put the lights etc. We used the green screen for a packshot and a shot where Santa will appear around the town. We then started looking at the footage to make sure it was all good.

Today everyone came round my house and we filmed the Christmas tree scene. Luckily the Christmas tree had been put up already which meant that we could move it out the way for the first shot and drag it in for the next. Filming we pretty smooth as we had been using the equipment now for a couple days. We filmed the shots a couple times to make sure we will have a choice in editing. We have now filmed everything and are ready to start sorting the footage ready to edit it.
